Darcy Manor Bas Relief

Our Darcy Manor Bas Relief is an incredible neoclassical wall sculpture that is both unique and beautiful. Imagine two cherubs holding a low relief plaque of a woman wearing a chiton (a lightweight linen toga-like outfit of classical Ancient Greece) and holding a basket. All this is set against a triangular floral garland and a rectangular plaque that is almost three and a half feet wide and over three feet high. The cherub sculptures are really deep, almost a foot deep, which is quite high for a bas relief. They are perfect for over an outdoor/indoor fireplace, mantle, patio, terrace, or garden wall. They could also be a great addition above a sideboard of a formal dining room. What makes this sculpture so special is the hand-molding and hand-rubbed finishes. No two pieces are exactly alike, just like an aged antique.

This distinctive plaque is meticulously hand cast and hand finished in our USA foundry in extremely durable fiberstone. Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface to give the appearance of aged stone. Reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lighter and less fragile than concrete. Guaranteed outdoor durability.
