Olive products especially the oil were highly valued and utilized throughout the Mediterranean and the near east and were a highly lucrative traded commodity. The pottery and jars designed to use and ship were in themselves another large sector of the ancient economy. Fleets of special purpose ships plied the seas carrying the highly treasured commodity.

Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface to give the appearance of aged stone. Reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lighter and less fragile than concrete.
