Wood Nymph

Meet the Wood Nymph, a stunning sculpture of a dryad tree nymph. In Greek mythology, dryads were oak tree nymphs or spirits. Today, we often use the term to describe tree nymphs in general. The four wood nymphs: Daphnaie, who was the nymph of laurel trees; Epimelides, who protected apple and other fruit trees and sheep; Hamadryad, who was associated with oak trees; and the Meliae, who were the nymphs of ash trees.

Our sculpture is almost three feet tall and depicts a young woman as the perfect representation of a wood nymph. SheÕs robed, standing tall, but looking down at the fruit of a tree in her hands. SheÕs the embodiment of nature and the spirit of the forest. ItÕs truly remarkable!

Meticulously hand cast and hand finished patina in extremely durable marine grade freeze proof fiberglass. UV protected and colors will not fade. Strong, reinforced fiberglass but quite light weight. Guaranteed outdoor durability.

Tall Octagonal Pedestal

The Tall Octagonal Pedestal is a classic pedestal column that has an octagon shape. It rests on a slightly larger plinth base. With it's clean unembellished lines it is a great fit for many of our urns, planters and sculptures. The pedestal also has a wonderful texture which is great to make an outstanding patina regardless of the finish color. Of course, the pedestal features an inset medallion on four of the sides. The pedestal is 24" tall (with plinth) and when topped with a sculpt or planter it makes a commanding focal point to a garden niche, patio, entrance drive or an indoor entrance foyer.

The pedestal is meticulously hand cast in high-density cast stone with a hand finished patina. Use with the Wood Nymph Sculpture or with many of our urns and planters. Guaranteed outdoor durability.
