Valreas Planter - Set of 2

These Valreas Planters are generous terracotta vessels in the spirit of the Aegean style vessels that once lined courtyards and terraces. The inverted tapered body and clean bull-nose rim give it presence whether planted or left emptyÑon a patio, by a pool, in an ent s or as a pair flanking a walkway.

Hand glazed in five finishes: Sandblasted (the traditional, stone-washed look), Graphite, Murano Cielo, Erin Green, and a deep glazed Riviera Blue. Each glaze is applied by hand, so color and texture vary slightly from piece to piece. High-fired glazed terracotta. Use indoors or out; protect from standing water in freeze.

Our glazed and terra cotta pottery is high fired between 990 (terra cotta) and 1000 (glazed) degrees centigrade to ensure frost resistance and durability. Due to the processes used in the manufacturing of our hand-made and hand-glazed containers, all variations with respect to firing, color, size and crackling are natural occurrences in the manufacturing process. The glazes on our containers consist of natural, not chemical, components and therefore the final color of the product will vary. This process creates the unique beauty of each piece.
