Our Derby Urn has the look of a "discovered" antique found secreted away in cloistered Romanesque monastery. With an egg and dart rim and simple key design just underneath, the bowl of the urn features an interesting, almost abstract incised bird design. Unusual and very interesting. The design continues with a long and thin stem pedestal which rests on a square base. The stem has a lightly fluted motif and a round base with another interesting design. Definitely, an interesting urn with a "grail" appeal.
This distinctive urn is meticulously hand cast and hand finished in our USA foundry in extremely durable fiberstone. Fiberstone is a mixture of sand and stones cast into the surface to give the appearance of aged stone. Reinforced with a fiberglass backing, it remains lighter and less fragile than concrete. Guaranteed outdoor durability.
