Our Cycladic Head Planter is an unusual, but, beautiful planter sculpture of an Clycadic art figurine that is also a planter. Though its function is as a planter, it is an unusual and whimsical sculpture and one that will bring smiles. Plant with herbs, ivies, or greens and place table top inside or outdoors.

The ancient Cycladic culture flourished in the islands of the Aegean Sea from c. 3300 to 1100 BCE.[1] Along with the Minoan civilization and Mycenaean Greece, the Cycladic people are counted among the three major Aegean cultures. Cycladic art therefore comprises one of the three main branches of Aegean art. The majority of these Cycladic figures, however, are highly stylized representations of the female human form, typically having a flat, geometric quality that influenced some 20th-century modern art including the work of Pablo Picasso and other great artists of the modern movement.

This distinctive planter/sculpture is meticulously hand cast and hand finished in our USA foundry in high density cast stone. Guaranteed outdoor durability.

Our cast stone products are manufactured in the USA using locally sourced materials using the wet casting technique with a proprietary high density cast stone mix. Cast stone produces a strong and durable product that will weather naturally in an outdoor environment. Simply stated, cast stone is chosen for its beauty and authenticity.
